'Rose' Comer

— Rozalia “Rose” Francis Comer, 81, of Princeton, formerly of Greenville and Farmers Branch, Texas, and Ivanhoe, Minn., passed away on Dec. 14, 2013, surrounded by her family. 

She was a devoted and loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, nurse and friend. Her quiet spirit and warm smile made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. 

A rosary will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday with a funeral mass to follow at 2 p.m. at St. William’s Catholic Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Deacon Lee Davis officiating.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rose was born in Ivanhoe, Minn., on Jan. 11, 1932, to Martin and Anna Wawrzyniak Paluch. She married James Comer in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1958.

She was a nurse and was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church of McKinney.

Rose is survived by her daughters, Michaelle Comer, Stephanie Nance and husband Brad, Bridget Comer and Joanna Hensley and husband Mike; grandchildren, Matthew Comer, Jaron Poe, Chris Nance, Colin Gowin, Hannah Gowin, Trevor Nance, and Mary Kaitlyn Hensley; brother Eugene Paluch, sisters-in-law Aileen, Arleen and Bertha Paluch and Lois Smagac, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Jean Poe.

Pallbearers will be Brad Nance, Mike Hensley, Chris Nance, Matthew Comer, Colin Gowin, Jaron Poe, Mike Cissell, Joe Rudd and honorary pallbearers Trevor Nance, Ed Balzer, Mark Paluch, Will Smagac, Tom Smagac and John Smagac.
