Jo McGuffey

GREENVILLE — Jo Glen McGuffey, 86, of Greenville passed away July 8, 2014, at Legend Healthcare.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Dr. Kelly Carr and John Michael McQueary officiating. Interment will follow at Stoney Point Cemetery in Collin County.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. 

Born June 15, 1928, in San Angelo, Jo was the daughter of Cornelius Edward and Lena Bell (Morrison) McQueary. She was retired from E-Systems and was a member of Ardis Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Ricky McGuffey and wife Cindy of Greenville; daughters Hope Moore and husband Mitch of Greenville and Nancy Jo Medlin and husband Billy of Henderson; a brother, Second McQueary and wife Jean of Fairlie; sisters Betty Woodruff and Linda Wallace of Campbell; and grandchildren Cassie Willett, Chance Medlin, Garrett Moore, Clint Moore and Josh McGuffey.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Gordon McGuffey in 2003; her parents; brother John Truitt McQueary and sister Keith Walters.

Pallbearers will be Garrett Moore, Clint Moore, Josh McGuffey, Paul McQueary, Phil McQueary, and Chance Medlin.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Legend Healthcare and Hunt Memorial Regional Medical Center.
