Timmy Dickeson

GREENVILLE — Timmy Lee Dickeson, 54, of Greenville passed away on Feb. 17, 2014, in Sulphur Springs, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

He was born April 20, 1959, to Otha Neil and Baba Nell Dickeson in Mount Pleasant.

Tim grew up in Floyd, where he graduated from Bland High School in 1977. He married Donna Milner of Greenville on Sept. 8, 1978. Together they had two daughters, Stefanie and Stacie.

Tim had an 18-year career at Lance, Inc., where he made many lifelong friends.Tim later worked for Bonus Crop Fertilizer, and most recently for GEUS. Tim was remarried on June 27, 2010, to Margie Saldivar of Emory.

Tim was known for his infectious smile and his quiet, gentle spirit. He was a simple, humble man, who never asked anything of anyone, but was always giving of himself.

He was silly and playful, had a special connection with children, and was considered a father figure by many. He was loved by all that knew him. His big bear hugs and sweet grin will be greatly missed.

Tim is survived by his wife, Margie Saldivar Dickeson; his daughters Stefanie Pope and husband Justin of Caddo Mills, Stacie Dickeson of Fort Worth, stepdaughters Paula Cason and Becky Cason of Emory; brother Wayne Dickeson and wife Vicky of Copeville; sisters Nellie Dale and husband David of Caddo Mills, Carolyn Cotton and husband Billy of Floyd, Diane Pecina and husband Teddy of Greenville, Kim Day and husband Jimmy of Floyd, Michelle Clark and husband Carlos of Texarkana; brother-in-law Pilar Saldivar Jr. of Emory; sisters-in-law Tiffany Saldivar of Tawakoni, Molly Saldivar Moore of Wills Point.; grandchildren Rylan and Lorelei Pope; stepgrandchildren Aiden and Addisyn Cason, Jace Davis, Jeslyn Yong, Chloe and BrookLynn Moore; mother-in-law Maria Gillard and husband Dan of Lone Oak; Donna Milner Dickeson of Greenville; several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Saturday at 1 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
