Jane Hardin

GREENVILLE — Jane Hardin, 74, of Greenville, formerly of Caddo Mills, passed away Feb. 8, 2014, at Presbyterian Hospital of Rockwall. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Bill McFatridge officiating. Burial will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills. 

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Jane was born July 11, 1939, in Longview to Andrew Horace and Grover Lee Julian Stephenson. On Oct. 29, 1966, she married Mike Hardin in McAlester, Okla.

She worked as a secretary with the Hunt County Commissioners Office until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Caddo Mills.

Jane is survived by her husband of Greenville; a son, Todd Hardin and wife Kerry of Caddo Mills; daughter Holly Wakefield and husband Brian of Waxahachie; a sister, Kay Gray and husband Weldon of Simms; grandchildren Chase, Colby, and Lindsey Wakefield, Alyssa and Avery Hardin, Bailey Miley, Rance and Dakota Thornton; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Billy Gene Buchanan.

Pallbearers will be Bob Abbott, Dewayne Bethea, John Cox, Wendell McGuire, Clint Thornton, and Rance Thornton.
