Glenda Armstrong

GREENVILLE — Glenda Hale Armstrong, 67, of Garland died Jan. 25, 2014, at a Dallas hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Bethel AME Church, 2107 Wesley, in Greenville with Supt. H.H. Harvey officiating. Burial will be in Paradise Memorial Park in Neylandville.

Visitation was from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home.

The daughter of O.C. and Hulene Hale, she was born Oct. 18, 1946, in Greenville. She was a member of Jacob Cathedral COGIC.

Surviving are her mother, Hulene Hale of Greenville; three sons, Norman Wayne Hale Jr. (Rhonda) of Greenville, John Nathan Hale of Garland and Keenan Armstrong of Sherman; a daughter, LaSandra Chisom of Garland; seven brothers, Robert Wright of Mansfield, Greg Hale, Arthur Hale, Gordon C. Hale, Elder Ralph Hale and Victor Hale, all of Greenville, and O.C. Hale Jr. of Gilmer; a sister, Margaret Burnett of Rowlett; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Her father, husband and a sister preceded her in death.
