‘Tony’ Casper

LONE OAK — Anthony “Tony” Casper, 66, of Point, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Jan. 27, 2014, at his home in Point. A funeral service celebrating his life is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church, Lone Oak.

Ingram Funeral Home of Quinlan is in charge of arrangements.

Anthony “Tony” Casper was born May 28, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, to Albert and Ann Nienaber. He graduated from Our Lady of the Rosary School of Dayton, Ohio, in 1965 and went on to the Kodak School of Photography. Tony married his best friend Penny Heathcock in 1995 and resided in Point with their horses and a nice view of the lake.

Tony grew up in Dayton, Ohio, where he loved racing what would now be “classic” cars and picking at his guitar. After being drafted into the Army and serving during the Vietnam War, Tony moved to Greenville in the early ‘70s. He was truly a jack of all trades with an entrepreneur spirit. At one time or another Tony could be found running the local carpet store, his downtown print shop, or his longtime general contracting business. In 1994 Tony was reborn and dedicated his life to serving the Lord. From that moment forward Tony became an ever-growing student and follower of Christ.

Tony is survived by his wife, Penny Casper of Point; sons Orion Casper and wife Audrey of Greenville and Wayne Heathcock and wife Jillian of East Tawakoni; daughters Ilia Powell and husband David of Greenville and Jennifer Heathcock of Nashville, Tenn.;  11 grandchildren; and extended family and friends.

Tony was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa who will be dearly missed.
