Gary Don Sprinkle was born Aug. 25, 1955, to Don Caldwell Sprinkle and JoAnn Graves Sprinkle. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1973. He met Kett at the age of 14 and proposed marriage on her 18th birthday. Gary married the love of his life on June 11, 1976, and they raised three children, Jon, Haley and Heath.

Gary dedicated his life to ministry, attending Baptist Bible College in the fall of 1973, and graduating in 1977. He and Kett moved to Lumberton, Texas, where Gary served as the youth director at Anchor Baptist Church.

In 1978, he served at Beaumont’s 11th Street Baptist Church as the youth pastor for three months and then served as the senior pastor.
