Sim Williams

GREENVILLE — Simeon Burton Williams Sr., 69, of Campbell passed away Jan. 21, 2014, at his home.

Services will be at 10:30 a,m, Friday at Family Fellowship with Rev. Paul Blue officiating.

Interment will follow at Brigham Cemetery near Campbell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

Born Aug. 13, 1944, in Winfield, La., Sim was the son of Thomas Jefferson Williams and Helen Pauline (Parker) Williams. On Aug. 17, 1962, in Caddo Mills, he married Ruth Julian.

He was a retired meat cutter and was a member of Family Fellowship.

His survivors include his daughter, Michelle Teague of Campbell; son Burt Williams and wife, Sachiyo of Okinawa, Japan; granddaughter Jordan Teague of Campbell; brothers Joe Williams and wife, Beverly of Wolfe City and Tommy Williams and wife, Maureen of Campbell; sister Emma Shaw of Commerce; and several nieces and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife in 2010.

Pallbearers will be Doyle Shaw Jr., Brady Williams, Matt Williams, Chris Shaw, Gary Williams, and Steven Talley. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Arnwine, Delle Bates, Tom Paul Bates, George Bates, Tommy Nelson and Kelly Fincher.

The family requests memorials be made to American Cancer Society.
