‘Pat’ Patterson

SULPHUR SPRINGS — A graveside military and Masonic funeral service for L.D. “Pat” Patterson, 87, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 5, at Ridgeway Cemetery with Rev. Fred Lewis and Dennis Patterson officiating with Jon Anderson, Jim Clater, Mike Mirau, Luke Patterson, Cheyenne Smithers and Mason Stem serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Charles Jones, Dr. Chris Gallagher and Patty McDonald.  

Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home of Sulphur Springs is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Patterson died July 1, 2014, at Plano Specialty Hospital in Plano.

He was born Aug. 15, 1926, the son of Ora Lee and Mable Elizabeth Litrell Patterson in Klondike. He married Betty Wilhite on Oct. 1, 1996, in Greenville. Survivors include his loving wife, Betty; a son, Dennis Patterson and wife Debbie of Murphy; daughters Tammy Mirau and husband Mike of Richardson, Debbie Clater and husband Jim of Sanger, Donna Jenkins of Sulphur Springs and Lisa Smithers and husband Cheyenne of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren Courtney Stem, Luke Patterson, Staci Mirau, Rebekah Ward, Shonna Hawks, Christy Anderson, Beverly Henderson, Amanda Rollins, Cody Smithers and Jessica Smithers; and eight great-grandchildren.     

He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Judy Patterson and Vicki Patterson; and one sister, Christine Harris Redding.
