Lavida Topp


GREENVILLE — Lavida Marie Topp, 83, of Greenville passed away Dec. 9, 2012, at the Briarcliff Health Center. There is a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home; no services are planned. 

Marie was born Aug. 29, 1929, in Glenwood, Iowa, to Archie and Nita Bradway Anderson. She married Orville Topp on May 12, 1948, in Red Oak, Iowa. She worked many years as an operator with Southwestern Bell until her retirement. 

She was a member of the Hillsdale Methodist Church in Glenwood, Iowa, and stayed active in different organizations such as the Pink Ladies, Union Secretary, and the Antique Car Club of Northwest Texas.

She is survived by her son, Rodney Topp; daughter Susan Keller; sister Jane Miller; eight grandchildren, Rodney Topp Jr., Rodrick Topp, Johnny Einert, Johnai Einert, Dena Chapman, Dondi Tarrant, Shay Cooper, and Shalane Ward; and 11 great-grandchildren, Jade Chapman, Paden Chapman, Evelyn Cooper, Octavius Cooper, Cayden Ward, Rylan Ward, Johnathon Einert, Johnny Einert III, Joshua Einert, Jaeleigh Johnson, and Izabella Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister Ruth Anderson; brothers Herbert, Archie, Ray, Floyd, Franklin, Marion, Richard, and Buddy Anderson; and son-in-law Terry Keller.
