William Ralph Carroll, 82, of Greenville went to be with Our Lord on Jan. 14, 2014.
Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on today at Lynch Funeral Service chapel in Greenville. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Vansickle Baptist Church in Greenville.
Ralph was a servant of our Lord and of His people. He was born in Sulphur Springs on Oct. 3, 1931, to Graford and Dessie Carroll. Ralph married his loving wife of nearly 63 years in January of 1951. He then entered the Navy where he proudly served as a flight engineer for 10 years.
He was called to the ministry and graduated from Southwestern Theological Seminary. He served at many local community churches as pastor. Ralph also founded and owned Carroll Siding Company of Greenville.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Graford and Dessie Carroll; brother J.D. Carroll; son Rick Carroll; daughter Machelle Ann Carroll Miller.
Those left to celebrate his life are his wife, Pat Carroll of Greenville; son Gary Carroll and his wife Shellie Carroll of Greenville; son Kip Carroll of Greenville; sister Margaret Anzaldua of Sulphur Springs; seven grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
