Concepcion Mendoza

GREENVILLE — Mr. Concepcion “Poncho” Mendoza of Farmersville passed away July 2, 2013, in Greenville.

He was born Dec. 8, 1948, in Mexico. He was the son of Enrique and Herminia Vasquez Mendoza. He married Mercedes Sandoval May 15, 1969, in Mexico. He was a gardener and landscaper and was a member of the St. William’s Catholic Church in Greenville.

He is survived by his wife, Mercedes Mendoza of Farmersville, and children Mario Mendoza and wife Dianna of Fort Campbell, Ky., Paul Mendoza and wife Yeni of Wylie, Elizabeth Palos and husband Victor of Anna, Moses Mendoza and wife Melanie of Livingston and Marie Mendoza of Farmersville. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and one sister, Luisa Vasquez of Mexico.

A funeral mass is at 10 a.m. today at the St. William’s Catholic Church in Greenville with Father Paul Weinberger officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville,

Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville is in charge of arrangements. Father Paul Weinberger will be in charge of the services.
