Bobbie Lake

GREENVILLE — Bobbie Mae Nelson Lake, 85, of Greenville died Aug. 12, 2013, at Colonial Tender Care. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lake was born in Brownwood on June 24, 1928. She was the daughter of Marion L. “Honey” Nelson and Lela White Nelson. She married Forest K. Lake Jr. on Dec. 22, 1947, in McKinney. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Forest K. Lake Jr. of Greenville; a son, Robert Lake and wife Nancy of Greenville; daughters Laura Lake of Greenville and Alicia Smith and husband Ed of Fairfield; sisters-in-law Betty Ringo of Waco and Patricia Bryant of Lubbock; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by a stillborn daughter, Saundra, in 1952; her mother, Lela Nelson in 1980; and father Marion Nelson in 2000.
