James Wylie Mosley, 84, passed away April 16, 2013, at his residence in Palestine.
He was born Nov. 7, 1928, in Greenville to James W. and Lillie Collins Mosley. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1946 and later moved to Palestine and worked 40 years with International Great Northern, Missouri Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads, retiring in 1990.
He was a member of the Crockett Road Church of Christ and was the minister of Grapeland Church of Christ for 32 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 44 years, Laverne Bridges Mosley; sisters Bonita Mosley, Sereta Mosley Bell and Lucretia Mosley Dietz; and one brother, Harry Walton Mosley.
He is survived by several nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, and very best friend and companion Patsy Bush and her family.
