Bryon Traylor Sr.


— Byron Louis Traylor Sr. was born Aug. 1, 1931, in San Antonio to Olen and Allene Traylor and passed away Jan. 16, 2013, in Quinlan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Barbara Mullins.

Byron is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sarah Traylor; children Byron Traylor Jr., Terry Traylor and wife Debbie, Tanya Traylor and Davin Traylor and Eva; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and sisters Jaqueline Lawrence and Cheryl Brewer.

After his service in the Air Force, Byron was proud of his time as a contractor for the U.S. Government in the aerospace program.

Following his retirement his activities included being a polling judge in the Quinlan area for the Republican Party encouraging all ages to be active in their community. Byron will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Quinlan, 104 Church Street, Quinlan, 75474.

Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd., Dallas 75228 is in charge of arrangements.
