Dolores Earls

COMMERCE — Dolores Jean Earls, 81, of Tyler, passed away April 18, 2013, in Tyler with her daughter by her side.

She was born Dec. 10, 1931, to Clyde and Sarah Rountree.

She was retired from East Texas State University and worked in the acquistions department of the library.

Dolores was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and lived for the last 19 years with her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Wayne Hibbard, and her faithful dog, Maggie, in Tyler.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Charlene King, Edna Scroggin, Maisie White and Karleta Hunter;  two nieces, Mandy White Fuller and Stacy White; and by her loving companion, “Kate the dog.”

She is survived by her brother, Rudy (Aven) Rountree; two brothers-in-law, Roy White and Al Scroggin; nieces Jan (Ronnie) Davis and their children, Trenton and Tyler; Neely (Dwayne) Lovelady, Julie Scroggin; Robin (Jimmy) Sullivan and their children; Josh Shepherd, Jamey McPherson, Sage Sullivan, Whitney Brunnett; Jessica (Jim) LeBeau and their son, Jeremy; and Lacy Rountree; nephews Franklin (Chris) King and their children, Frank Jr. and James, and Steve Scroggin; and numerous other family and lifelong friends

Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at the Commerce Church of Christ with burial to follow in Senora Cemetery in Fairlee.

Commerce Funeral Home of Commerce is in charge of arrangements.
