Cedric McFail

GREENVILLE — Cedric Demoñ McFail was the first born to Linda and Johnny McFail on August 25, 1980.

He attended Fannindel School system. After graduation, Cedric’s career was as a petty officer in the Navy. He was in the Navy Reserve and worked at L-3 in Greenville.

Cedric joined the Little Bethel Baptist Church at a young age and accepted God as his Savior. He was a big brother to his sister, Tamera McFail, whom he adored. Cedric was the proud father of Aja, Gabby and Josiah and also to his stepsons, Justin, Reggie and Tyrell.

Ced leaves so many to mourn his death: his parents, Linda Savage and stepfather Thomas and Johnny McFail and stepmother Q Dell; sister, Tamera McFail (Greg); children, Aja, Gabriella (Gabby) and Josiah; stepsons, Justin, Reggie and Tyrell; special sisters, Brigitte Thurman and Nigel Burks; special brothers, Courtney Dowdy and Jason McNeal and stepbrothers, Mitchell Finch and Kenneth Jackson; one nephew, Derion Mallory; grandmother, Hazel McFail, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Ced is preceded in death by his wife, Melissa McFail; sister, Netra; his paternal grandfather, Jones McFail, and maternal grandmother, Mary Montgomery.

Homegoing services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Cecil Jones as eulogist followed by a burial in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Grace & Mercy-Grundy Funeral Home, in which services are entrusted.
