Helen Thompson

LONE OAK — Services for Helen Louise Thompson, 68 years and 14 days, of Lone Oak are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Lone Oak United Methodist Church, under the direction of Bartley’s Lone Oak Funeral Home with Pastor Sue Gross officiating.

Mrs. Thompson entered eternal rest Sept. 24, 2013, in a Greenville hospital following a lengthy struggle with health issues.

She was born Sept. 10, 1945, in Carbon to Hilliard and Lenora Johnson Collins. Her first marriage was to G.E. Turner. Two children were born to this union.

In March of 1978 she and Bobby J. Thompson were married in Pasadena, and two children were born to them. She lived most of her life in Lone Oak. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby J. Thompson of Lone Oak; her mother, Lenora Brackman of Trinity; sons Eddie Turner and wife Shelli of Rockdale and BJ Thompson of Lone Oak; daughters Tommie Turner and Robert Cuccia of Greenville and Mandy San Migel and husband Brandon of Rockdale; brothers Tommy Dale Collins of Alvin, Ray Brackman of Houston and Johnny Brackman of Trinity; six grandchildren, William Turner, Tiffany Musto, Tasha Turner, Nathan Jeter, Cruz San Migel, and Kathryn San Migel; three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Musto, Brandilyn Musto, and Shellsea Musto; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Pallbearers are Charlie Causey, Darin Doss, Brandon San Migel, Jerry Payne, Lester Hunt, and David Fuzzell.
