CADDO MILLS —
Wayne Burch Swafford, 75 of Caddo Mills passed away on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, in Greenville.
He was born on Aug. 21, 1937, in Drop, Texas to Hugh and Alma Swafford. Wayne retired from Raytheon where he worked as a computer programmer.
He was a member of the Caddo Mills United Methodist Church. Wayne proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He attended Tarleton University and graduated from East Texas State University.
Wayne also coached little league basketball for many years.
His survivors include his wife Carolyn Swafford of Caddo Mills; sons Lee and Jerilene Swafford of Caddo Mills as well as Glen and Janet; daughters Terri and David Sumrow of Palestine; brothers, Don and Dollie of Ponder; sisters Joella Haley of Corben., Evelyn and Ken Peters of Frisco, Carolyn and William Harrison of Ponder, and Susie and David Polley of Glen Rose; and grandchildren Sean, Cody, Trey, Nicole, Kaitlyn, Coleman, Devron, Seth, Holly.
Wayne was proceeded in death by his parents Hugh and Alma Swafford. The visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, Nov.27, 2012, at Lynch Funeral Home in Caddo Mills, which is in charge of arrangements.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at United Methodist Church in Caddo Mills.
