Jessye Morgan

Jessye Maxine Jean Morgan, 92, passed away March 26, 2013, in Greenville.

Jessye was born July 28, 1920, to Brenard H. and Marjorie A. Jean in Farmersville. She married Buford W. Morgan on Dec. 25, 1940.

Jessye worked as a registered nurse and supervisor over processing and distribution for the Veterans Administration Hospital in Dallas until her retirement in 1978.

After her retirement she and her husband made their home in Greenville. Jessye was a member of the Johnson Street Church of Christ.

Jessye was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buford; and her sister, Beverly Hardin.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Floyd “Bill” Hyatt of Greenville; grandson Josh Hyatt and wife Tina of Quinlan; granddaughter Rachael Driggers and husband Jeff of Greenville; great-grandson Sean Driggers and wife Laura of Searcy, Ark.; great-granddaughter Morgan Driggers of Tyler;  sister Brenda Craft of Mexia; nephew Kelly Hardin and wife Benita of Greenville; nieces Kandis Hinojosa and husband Albino of Ruston, La., Karen Bounds of Mexia, and Kathi Murphy of Houston; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

A private inurnment will be held for family members at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Church of Christ or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
