'Jean' DeBord


GREENVILLE — Lou Genia “Jean” DeBord, 85, of Greenville passed away Dec. 31, 2012, at Senior Care at Lake Pointe in Rowlett. Graveside services were Friday at Donelton Cemetery with Major Jackie Tolan officiating.

Born Nov. 27, 1927, in Lone Oak, “Jean” was the daughter of Stephen M. and Ecter (Wallace) Adair.

On April 12, 1968, she married Jake J. DeBord in Durant, Okla.; he preceded her in death. She was retired from Texas Instruments, but her favorite job was being a grandmother and great-grandmother.

Her survivors include her son, Bryan Adair Beckner and wife Marianne of Rockwall; granddaughters Kristyl Lynn Johnson, Karla Marie Routson and Katee Herdewel; and great-grandchildren Haley Marie Johnson, Hannah Lynn Johnson, Matthew Bryan Routson and Addison Claire Routson. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Robin Locket Adair and Willie S. Adair and sister Florence Adair.
