Henry Cupit

COMMERCE — Henry Cleborn Cupit, 82, of Commerce passed away at his residence on Aug. 1, 2013.

Henry was born in Caddo, Okla.  on Feb. 19, 1931, to Henry Cupit and Opal Bell Simmons Cupit. In February of 1949, he married his precious bride, Billie Margaret Matkins Cupit.

Survivors include his wife, Billie;  his  daughters: Cathy Cummings of Emory and Carolyn Bearden of Commerce; his son, Michael Paul Cupit of Mount Vernon; his  grandsons: Shon Potter and Brine Bearden; his granddaughters: Robin Nabers, Wendi Humphries, Brine, Michaela and Mikenna Cupit:  his great grandsons: Landon Nabers, Grayson Humphries, Tyler and Blake Bearden; and, his great granddaughters: Lizzie Bearden, Taylor and Hannah Nabers; and, his three sisters: Jeanie Moore of Desoto, Velda Coffey of Whitewright, and Sherry Gibson of Commerce.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, V.J. Hunt, and his two sisters, Launa Thurman and Laura Clark.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Cumby City Cemetery in Cumby with Bro. David Burns officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home in Commerce prior to the services.

Pallbearers will be Shon Potter, Kenneth Cummings, Kenneth Bearden, Brine Bearden, Charles Humphries and Justin Nabers.
