Jerry Seals

CELESTE — Jerry Wayne Seals, 65, of Irving, formerly of Celeste, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at his home. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Henslee officiating. Burial will follow at Celeste Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Jerry was born in Wolfe City on May 9, 1948, the son of Arthur Seals and Beulah Quick Seals. He married Pamela Duncan on July 23, 1969 in Paris, Texas. He was retired from RotaDyne in Grapevine after many years of service and a member of Webb Hill Baptist Church, where he was baptized at an early age. Jerry attended elementary school in Wolfe City and high school in Celeste, graduating in 1967. He was an avid deer hunter and camper. He loved the outdoors and always knew how to make everyone smile with his sense of humor.

Survivors include his son, Jason Seals of Irving; granddaughter, April Seals of Plano; brothers, Jack Seals of Ben Wheeler, Glynn Seals and wife, Diana of Marble Falls, Donny Seals of Lubbock and Roger Seals and wife, Dawn of Celeste; sisters, Reba Blissette of Midlothian, Edna McCutcheon and husband, Don of Pottsboro, Marie Tandy and husband, John of Greenville and Louise Schillinger and husband, John of Celeste; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela D. Seals in 2005, his parents and a sister, Leona Rozell.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Watson, Terry Childress, Russell Seals, Brian McCutcheon, Mark Spuhler, Troy Seals, Chad Seals and Phillip Rozell.
