Wanda Gresham

Wanda Mae Gresham, 95, of Richardson passed away Aug. 11, 2013.

She was born Feb. 22, 1918, in Greenville to John and Hattie Allen.

She was an employee of Southwestern Bell for more than 30 years and worked into her late 80s. Wanda was a devout Christian and a member of First Baptist Church in Dallas, where she served as a choir member.

She was also a devoted mother, grandmother and aunt and will forever be in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Wanda is survived by her son, Ron Foster and Kay Foster; daughter Linda Courtney and husband George; granddaughters Dawn Michelle Spicer and Shanna Michelle Gerberding; great-grandchildren Trevor Boldt, Connor Lee Spicer, Benjiman Riley Spicer and Summer Lynn Spicer and Micah Gerberding, Andrew Gerberding and Aaron Gerberding; sister-in-law Merle Allen; nephews Donnie Butler and wife Beryl, Kenneth Butler and wife Janelle, Larry Allen and wife Teri, Bobby Butler and wife Sharon, Johnnie Fred Hale and wife Marianne, Dale Dunn and wife Donna, Tom Allen and wife Sheila, and Jimmy Allen; and nieces Barbara Thraillkill and husband Roger and June Crocker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Archie Francis Gresham; granddaughter Monica Renee Courtney; and great-grandson David Gregory Spicer. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Park Street Baptist Church in Greenville. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Greenville.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville.
