Rita Welch

GREENVILLE — Rita Lou (Kent) Welch passed away April 3, 2014, after suffering from cancer.  

She was born to Elvie and Rita Mae (Kent) Shook on March 26, 1941, in Paris, Texas. She was a wonderful, kind, sweet, caring lady whom everyone loved. Rita was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church and the Ladies WMU. She was also a member of the Altrusa Club of Greenville. She had lived in Greenville for 49 years.

Rita is survived by her son, Daniel (Danny) Robert Kee of Greenville; stepchildren Cheryl Brymer and husband Dave of Carrollton and Glen Welch Jr. of Caddo Mills; her stepgrandchildren, Duncan Brymer, Brandon and Casey Welch, Tabitha Luallen and husband C.J. and Shiloh Holland; great-grancchildren Jasmine, Alyssa, Evan, and Moriah Luallen; and one sister, Peggy Gilbert and husband Paul of Waxahachie.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 40 years, Glen Welch Sr.

The family will receive friends at  Lynch Funeral Service, 4238 Highway 34 South, Greenville, at 10 a.m. Monday, one hour prior to the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Rita will be buried beside her husband in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Tiger Town, Texas.

The family wishes to thank so many of you for your thoughtfulness of her during this last six months of illness.
