GREENVILLE — CADDO MILLS – Glenn “Bus” Newman was born Nov. 24, 1914, in Fate to John and Myrtle Ellis Newman. Bus graduated from Caddo Mills High School in 1933 and went on to marry Modene White on Aug. 23, 1939. He was a farmer and worked in Caddo Mills all of his life. He retired from Bass-Royce Lumber Company, US Brass, and Rentfrow Funeral Home. Bus was a past Master and member of the Masonic Lodge 581 in Caddo Mills for over 60 years. He was also a past Matron of the Eastern Star 82 in Caddo Mills and was a charter member of Faith Bible Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Modene Newman; children Glenn Earl Newman and wife Paulette, David Lynn Newman, and Suzanne Thomason and husband Jimmy; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Bible Church with Rev. Kenneth Ballard officiating. Interment will immediately follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lynch Funeral Home in Caddo Mills.

Pallbearers will be Jim Newman, Bob Newman, Rick Newman, Lee Newman, Jay Thomason, and Tony Thomason.
