Mattie Pearl Pannell, 81, of Commerce, died Jan. 8, 2014.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, at Mount Moriah Temple Baptist Church in Commerce, with Elder Sammie K. Dean officiating. Burial will be in Rose Mound Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home in Greenville.
She was born March 17, 1932, in Pittsburg, Texas, to Jimmy and Willie Mae Fagan. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Temple Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include five sons, Norman Pannell (Paulett) of Dallas, David Pannell of Dallas, Melvin Pannell (Sandra) of Greenville, Cedric Pannell (Vernetta) of Commerce and NaJeen Pannell (Melissa) of Commerce; two daughters, Nora Bair (Clifton) of Commerce, and Mary Dean of Commerce; two sisters, Elizabeth Terry of Dallas, Mary Moton of Dallas; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, her husband, three brothers and one sister.
