Bobby Don “Bob” Thomas, 75, of Greenville, passed away on Dec. 28, 2013, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Jared Vernoy officiating. A military graveside service will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Bob was born on July 15, 1938, in Dallas to Orville and Eva Arrant Thomas. He married Gail Green on June 25, 1960, in Greenville.
Bob served his country in the U. S. Marines. He worked as a bailiff for Hunt County and also was a business man owning Thomas & Son plating. He was active in the Horseless Carriage, and Antique Automobile Clubs.
He is survived by his son, Steve Thomas and wife Cindy of Greenville; daughter, Leann Thomas of Plano; grandson, Seth Thomas and step-grandson, Hayden Dunlap.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Pallbearers will be David Ahl, Kris Crews, Al Estrada, Brett Gilbert, Darryl Gober, David Groves, Garland Smith, and Matt Wood. Honorary pallbearers will be Seth Thomas and Hayden Dunlap.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or VITAS Hospice.
