Nadine Annette Wallace, 77, of Quinlan passed away April 21, 2013, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Johnson Street Church of Christ in Greenville with Randy Daw and Frank Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Prairie Valley Cemetery.
Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born Sept. 5, 1935, in Honey Grove, Nadine was the daughter of Archie Dee and Hazel (Haltom) Holloway. On June 15, 1957, in Garland, she married Wayne Wallace.
She attended Ladonia High School. She had worked for Sears and had been a library aide for Boles Independent School District, but her most important job was taking care of her family and being a homemaker.
She was a member of Johnson Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne of Quinlan; sons Royce Wallace of Garland, Lowell Wallace and wife Barbara of Ft. Worth, Larin Wallace of Carthage, and Danny Wallace of Omaha, Neb.; daughters Gwena Thomason and husband Jackie of Tyler, Gaye Stevens of Euless, and Donna Davis and husband Grant of Tyler; brothers John Holloway and wife Sally of Collinsville, Jess Holloway and wife Eris of Sachse, and Archie Porter Holloway of Mesquite; 12 grandsons; six granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Leon Holloway; sisters Jewell Walker, Lorene Doyle, and Aletha Hedgecock; and son-in-law Hugh Stevens.
Pallbearers will be Trent Thomason, Trey Thomason, Texas Stevens, Troy Thomason, Brandon Stevens, and Will Davis.
The family requests memorials be made to the Boles Children’s Home.
