UNION VALLEY — Robert Larry “Red” Wilburn, 70, of Greenville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Dec. 26, 2013, in Mesquite.

A fellowship will be held at 2 p.m. with a memorial service celebrating Red’s life beginning at 3 p.m., Sunday at Riding High Cowboy Church in Union Valley, under the direction of Ingram Funeral Home.  Pastor Steve Bishop will officiate.

Red was born March 19, 1943, to Millard “Pete” Wilburn and Juanita Denny Wilburn in Greenville, where he was raised and attended school. After graduation, he joined the United States Army and served our country for 20 years, serving during the Vietnam Era. After his retirement from the Army, he returned to Greenville and worked for Lance Cracker Company, retiring after 25 years of service. On Oct. 26, 2013, he married Jane Marjorie Harrell. He married his first wife, Sandra Wineinger, on Jan. 17, 1968, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 2, 2012.

Red enjoyed Facebook, going to the Dairy Queen, and watching Judge Judy on TV.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife, Jane, of Greenville; son Jerry Wilburn and wife Debrah of Greenville; daughter Tammy Dowdy and husband Doug of Emory; grandchildren Jeremy, Brad, Sarah, Chris.
