Only one candidate has signed up or announced they are seeking a seat for either the Greenville City Council or Greenville Independent School District Board of Trustees.
Candidates can file their campaigns for two seats on the council or three seats on the school board, which will be on the May 10 election ballots.
Places 2, 3 and 4 on the Greenville ISD board will be on the ballot in May.
Dr. Kim Hunt Butcher has formally filed for Place 3 on the Greenville ISD board and has been the only candidate to either announce their intentions or file.
Tom Durham and Trudy Wineinger serve in Places 2 and 4 respectively. Both are eligible to seek re-election.
Filing for the election also continues through February 25 at the Wesley Martin Administration Building, 4004 Moulton Street.
Places 3 and 4 on the Greenville City Council are the ballot for the May 10 election. Filing continues through February 25 at the City of Greenville Municipal Building, 2821 Washington Street.
Jeff Dailey currently serves in Place 3 and Mayor Pro-Tem Velma Del Bosque-Hobdy serves in Place 4. Both are eligible to seek re-election to the council.
April 10 is the final day to register to vote for the election.
Early voting is scheduled between April 28 and May 6.
