Being thankful on this Thanksgiving

Eating too much food, spending time with family and watching football were the prevailing memories of this Thanksgiving for posters on the Herald-Banner’s Facebook page.

“Ate too much food, watched the Texans win and Cowboys lose,” Ronnie Myers said. “Then, I got to finish the day watching my WC Wolves do a little tune up practice for their playoff game against Goldthwaite tonight.”

Janna Kay Moreland Redington said hers was a fun filled adventure with family.

“The kids played golf, football, went on wagon rides, four-wheeler rides, played bean bag toss and ran foot races, then went on scary walks through Uncle Tony and Aunt Valerie Warren Moreland’s forest,” she said. “It was a great Thanksgiving with family!”

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful and celebrate and cherish time with family. For Cindy Alcorn Boulton, a new heart for her husband was her reason to be thankful.

“Celebrated the gift of a new heart for my husband, Leon Boulton at Baylor hospital!!!!” She said.

According to Pearlena Sincebaugh, she is still a Dallas Cowboys even though they let her down on Thursday.

“Ate too much ..prayed alot ..watch DALLAS get beat by Washington...” she said. “I’m still a loyal Cowboys fan ...Don’t ever give up on them no matter what..and last, had to put away all the leftovers away ...”

And for Debbie Vanderhoof, the restoring of family connections was reason for her thanks this season.

“Friends family and fellowship,” she said. “So grateful my family has been restored after 22 years. Ain’t God good.”
