The streets of downtown Greenville will be filled with all sorts of characters Thursday evening.
The City of Greenville, along with Hunt County, DrugFree Greenville and downtown merchants are hosting Halloween on the Square from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday.
The event helps serve as the finale of DrugFree Greenville’s Red Ribbon Month activities.
Lee, Stonewall, Washington and Johnson Streets bordering the Hunt County Courthouse Square will be closed and businesses will be opening their doors for trick-or-treaters.
Halloween on the Square has been known to draw more than 1,000 children and their parents to participate. Live music will be performed by the Blandelles and $1 hot dogs will be offered during the evening.
There will be costume contests for ages 0-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12 and there are also expected to be inflatable slides and a bounce house. Additional information about Halloween on the Square is available by calling 903-457-3138.
