Water off in Turtle Creek neighborhood, other areas

GREENVILLE — City of Greenville crews are working on a permanent fix to a major water line break from two months ago.

The effort has resulted in water again being shot off to the Turtle Crek neighborhood and surrounding areas.

A 20-inch line ruptured in the 1200 block of Interstate 30 on July 1, causing at least low water pressure to homes in Turtle Creek neighborhood, along Cornelia and several other streets. A temporary repair was performed at that time.

City of Greenville Public Relations Liaison Autumn Barton said it was uncertain as of this morning how long the water would be cut off.
