Forecast calling for wet, windy Wednesday

Hunt County and North Texas could be in for some much needed rainfall during a windy and wet Wednesday.

And it may be too early to put away the sweaters, as it will also be cooler following the passage of an upper level low, which was off the coast of California Monday.

The National Weather Service forecast was calling for sunny skies with a high near 62 today, with a north northeast wind of 10 to 15 mph.

It is expected to be mostly clear overnight, with a low around 38, with the changes starting Wednesday morning.

There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms during the morning, then a 60 percent chance of storms during the afternoon, with a high near 56. Winds will be out of the south southeast, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

There is a chance of drizzle and fog in the forecast overnight Wednesday, with a low around 52 and south winds with gusts as high as 25 mph.
