GCS names top two 2013 graduates

GREENVILLE — Greenville Christian School has announced the top graduates for its 2013 graduating class.

Meagan Quinn Nichols, valedictorian and Ashley Nicole Wittmer, salutatorian, will lead the class at commencement today at 7 p.m. at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Nichols is graduating with an overall GPA of 100.3. She has been on the high honor roll all four years of high school and also served as junior and senior class president.

She was an Iron Woman in athletics, meaning she participated in three sports per year all four years of high school. Nichols was also involved in drama productions throughout high school.

She is the daughter of  Craig and Melissa Nichols of Greenville. Nichols plans to attend the University of North Texas to major in English with a secondary focus on English specialization.

Ashley Nicole Wittmer graduates with an overall GPA of 98.46. She has been on the high honor roll all four years of high school and was involved in drama productions for four years.

Wittmer was a varsity cheerleader her sophomore and junior years and served as president of the Student Council her senior year.

She is the daughter of Steve and  Ali Wittmer of Sulphur Springs. She plans to attend University of Texas in San Antonio and pursue a degree in health administration.
