GREENVILLE — An event has been scheduled in Greenville on the day before Mother’s Day, in an effort to find homes for children needing mothers, fathers and families.

The “Heart Gallery Adoption Fair”, designed for foster/adoptive families in Hunt County, is scheduled between 9 a.m. and noon Saturday at Highland Terrace Baptist Church, 3939 Joe Ramsey Boulevard in Greenville.

Sponsored by His Hands Ministry, James 1 Ministry and Cloverleaf Foster Parent Association, organizers say the purpose of the event is to raise awareness of the great need for foster and adoptive families in Hunt County.

There will be information on children waiting for adoption in North Central Texas, several Child Placing Agencies will be present with information on training and licensing. Legal information will be available, as well as a panel discussion on parenting issues.

Support organizations such as Court Appointed Special Advocated (CASA) and Child Evangelism will be present.

Those wanting more information about the event can call 903-450-5888 or CASA for Hunt County at 903-450-4410.
