The public has been invited to a Veterans Day parade in downtown Greenville.
The Greenville Independent School District has also scheduled a Veterans Day observance this week.
The American Red Cross has scheduled the parade to start at 10 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Bois d’ Arc and Lee Street.
The event is being hailed as way to celebrate heroes past and present who bravely protected America’s freedoms.

— The annual Hunt County observance of Veterans Day is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at the Hunt County Courthouse.
— The Greenville ISD Veterans Day ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Greenville High School gym.
— Clancy’s Saloon & Stage, at the Bar-Double Horseshoe Ranch in Campbell will present the Wounded Heroes Benefit Concert, starting at 11 a.m. Saturday start at 11 a.m. to benefit the Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation. A gate fee is not being charged, but organizers are asking visitors to make a donation to Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation.
