GREENVILLE — With the recent completion of several major road projects in the area, Greenville city officials want to take time later this month to show their appreciation to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

The City of Greenville and the Greenville Board of Development have scheduled a Thank You Reception for 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, in the Fletcher Warren Civic Center, 5501 South Business Highway 69 in Greenville.

The event is being billed as a way to thank TxDOT for being a partner in the city’s progress for having contributed more than $62 million in transportation projects in the Greenville community since 2008.

Among the projects recently completed are the State Highway 34/Wesley Street overpass across Interstate 30 and the Monty Stratton underpass beneath the interstate, as well as expansion of U.S. Highway 380 between Greenville and the Hunt/Collin county line.
