Sheriff's office, GPD, Marshal's service joining forces

GREENVILLE — Local law enforcement agencies joined forces with federal authorities today on multiple arrests of wanted individuals.

Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks said his office, along with the Greenville Police Department and the U.S. Marshal's Service to conduct a warrant roundup.

"We are getting people wanted for burglary or theft," Meeks said at noon. "We have nine or 10 so far."

Meeks said the action was focusing on individuals who were alleged to have victimized area homes and businesses.
