GREENVILLE — One of three suspects wanted in connection with a reported February home invasion robbery near Commerce is in custody at a jail in Brazos County.

Brandon Andre Bowles, 21, of Dallas, was being held in College Station Thursday on two counts of aggravated robbery warrants from Hunt County, according to Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks.

“We will be going after Mr. Bowles shortly to bring him back to Hunt County to answer to the charges that are brought against him,” Meeks said Thursday. “We still have two other suspects that are still at large. This investigation is still continuing.”

On February 28, the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a possible aggravated robbery on FM 2874 outside of Commerce. The victims stated that three black males entered the residence armed with two shotguns and a pistol. The victims stated that two of the suspects were wearing masks and one was not. All victims were told to get on the floor or they would be shot.

Money was taken during the robbery, but no injuries were reported.

Meeks said the resulting investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Commerce Police Department and the Texas A&M Commerce Police Department, resulted in Bowles being identified and  warrants being issued for his arrest.

Aggravated robbery is a first degree felony, punishable by a maximum sentence of from five to 99 years to life in prison and an optional fine of up to $10,000.
