One killed in rollover

A Wood County man was killed in a Friday morning one-vehicle rollover accident near Quinlan.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported the crash occurred at around 9:30 a.m. Friday on State Highway 34, about three miles south of the city.

David L. Rudd, 66, of Yantis was said to be driving a 2011 Jeep Wrangler northbound on the highway when for an unknown reason the vehicle veered into the southbound guardrail and rolled three times.

Rudd, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remained under investigation as of Friday afternoon.
