Music to fill air at county fair

GREENVILLE — This year’s Hunt County fair will be filled with a variety of music.

The 2014 Hunt County Fair and Livestock Show, presented by Innovation First, kicks off April 25 and continues through May 4.

The live musical entertainment is being sponsored by Fritz Industries and features the Cody Bryan Band and Reckless Kelly on stage the first night. Other highlights are scheduled to include Pearl Street Riot along with Cody Canada and the Departed on April 26; Cowboy Church Bands on April 27, the Blandelles on April 29; and the Straw Hat Society, Matt Dunn and Johnny Lee on May 3.

With the theme of “Building New Traditions for a Brilliant Future”, tickets will be $8 for adults and $4 for kids. All week passes are $30 for adults and $20 for kids.

The carnival rides are being provided by Happy World and there will be armband specials each night of the Fair.

The Lone Star Garden Tractor Pull will be held the evenings of April 25-26.

There will be a Kids Zone which will include activities like The Great Bear Show, Swifty Swine Pig Races and the Texan’s Petting Zoo.
