Heifers, steers and live music at the Fair

GREENVILLE — Heifer and steer shows are featured today, during the next to last day for the 2013 Hunt County Fair, which will be topped off with a double dose of live music.

Check-in for the TCCA Sanctioned Heifer Show begins at 7 a.m., with the Beef Heifer Show starting at 9:30 a.m.

Gates, exhibit buildings and the midway open up at 5 p.m., while the Market Steer Show, sponsored by Discount Wheel and Tire, is set for 8 p.m. this evening.

John D. Hale takes the Bud Light Entertainment Center stage at 8 p.m., followed at 10:30 p.m. by Johnny Cooper.

The Kids Zone, sponsored by Discount Wheel and Tire, includes activities like The Great Bear Show, Bumper  Boats, Bubble Runners, Swifty Swine Pig Races and the Texan’s Petting Zoo.

With the theme of “Building New Traditions”, the 2013 Hunt County Fair and Livestock Show is being presented by Innovation First and continues through Saturday.

Admission to the Fair is $8 for adults and $2 for kids.
