GREENVILLE — Comments are being sought on a plan to build as many as two Dollar General stores in south Hunt County.

The Hunt County Commissioners Court is scheduled to conduct a public hearing concerning zoning change requests for the stores, before taking a final vote on the issue,  during Tuesday’s regular session starting at 10 a.m. in the Auxiliary Courtroom, 2700 Johnson Street in Greenville.

The Lake Tawakoni Planning Commission also conducted a public hearing January 27, before voting on whether to recommend the proposed zoning changes for the stores, both of which are proposed for Wills Point locations inside Hunt County.

A Dollar General store has been proposed for the west side of FM 751 near Duck Cove, and also at the northwest corner of FM 751 and FM 429. Both locations are currently zoned for single family residences.
