Bingo night planned

GREENVILLE — Bingo fans will be gathering in downtown Greenville this weekend for a night of benefit games.

The Greenville Lions Club has a bingo night scheduled for Saturday at the Landmark, 2920 Lee Street. The cost will be $20 for six games on a one-player card and $10 for six games on each additional card,

The door will open at 6:15 p.m. Saturday. Two six-game sessions are planned, with one session starting at 6:30 p.m. and the second session starting one hour later.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners, with a $50 minimum payout each round. A grand prize blackout round is also scheduled.

All proceeds from the evening will go to fund Lions Club youth scholarships.

Those wanting more information can call 903-413-0304.

The event will be only the second conducted locally since voters in Greenville approved allowing charitable organizations to conduct organized bingo games as fund raisers in the May 2011 municipal election.

The Lions Club also hosted a bingo night at the Landmark in April.
