Charity softball game part of Night Out Party

GREENVILLE — Law enforcement officers and firefighters will face each other Tuesday night, as part of the scheduled of activities included during the preview of next week’s local observance of the National Night Out.

The National Night Out Kick-off party will be at the Greenville SportsPark, starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The annual charity softball game between the Greenville Police Department and the Greenville Fire-Rescue Department, benefiting the Crisis Center of North Texas begins at 7 p.m., with donations for the Crisis Center accepted between innings.

The event will also include a community resource fair, free hotdogs, children’s games, and bounce houses. All activities are free and the public is encouraged to attend.

Those community service agencies or non-profits wishing to participate in the Community Resource Fair may contact Officer Chris McCaslin at 903-457-2998 or cmccaslin@ci.greenville.tx.us. McCaslin is also the contact for anyone wanting more information on the National Night Out or hosting a neighborhood event.
