Car enthusiasts plan show

GREENVILLE — Some local automotive enthusiasts plan to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend by hosting a car show Saturday at the Greenville SportsPark.

The Wesley Street Cruisers also plan to cruise their namesake thoroughfare that evening.

The St. Pat’s Open Hood Car Show is scheduled starting at noon Saturday at Aunt Char’s Kidzone in the park, at the corner of Sayle Street and Kari Lane/Leo Hackney Boulevard.

There is no admission or registration for the event, a live DJ will be featured and refreshments will be available. Awards will be presented for the best car and best bike at the show.

Starting at 7 p.m., the organization plans on a “Sonic Boom”, by occupying the Sonic Drive-In at 6219 Wesley Street.

The group is also already looking ahead to the Fourth Annual “Wesley Street Cruise Night”, scheduled in Greenville during Labor Day weekend.
