Starting this week, motorists across Northeast Texas will be having to navigate around maintenance work on many area highways.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has awarded a contract to Missouri Petroleum Products for a seal coat project that will take place across several counties within TxDOT’s Paris District.

In Hunt County, the work is to include the north and south frontage roads of Interstate 30, from the Rockwall County line to Monty Stratton Parkway; the Interstate 30 north frontage road from state Highway 50 to the Hopkins County line; U.S. Highway 69 from just north of FM 1562 to the Fannin County line; state Highway 34 from the Interstate 30 south frontage road to state Highway 276; state Highway 50 from the Fannin County line to state Highway 24; state Highway 224 from state Highway 50 to state Highway 24; FM 118 from FM 499 to FM 118 state Highway 224; FM 1568 from State Highway 24 to FM 3218 and FM 3218 from state Highway 11 to FM 1568.
The project is also set to include highways in Delta, Fannin, Grayson, Hopkins, Lamar, Rains and Red River counties.
