Two escaped jail inmates still at large this afternoon

GREENVILLE — The manhunt continues at this hour for Brian Allen Tucker of Sulphur Springs and John Marlin King of Cumby, who escaped from the Hopkins County Jail Tuesday.

Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks said that at last report both suspects were still at large.

“We have received several reported sightings of these two,” Meeks said. “We have checked each report and we have come up nothing at this time. I have heard of reports as far away as San Antonio of possible sightings of Tucker and King. However, I don’t believe they panned out. I have not spoken to Sheriff Adams of Hopkins County today, but they have not requested any more assistance from us today.”
